What Does PetPartners Pet Insurance Cover?

While some pet insurance providers have a variety of different plans to choose from, PetPartners provides just one comprehensive package with a belief that pet insurance should be kept as simple as possible.

This plan can then be customized with a variety of deductibles, reimbursements, and annual limits.

This one plan covers your pet against a long list of accidents and illnesses, such as digestive issues, allergies, cancer, IVDD, UTIs, toxin ingestion, ACL injuries, broken bones, and hypothyroidism.

You’ll also be covered against any costs related to MRIs and CT scans, medications, surgery, hospitalization, and X-rays.

Any pet owner will know there’s a lot of extra work that goes into keeping pets safe and sound.

Optional coverage is available that will reimburse you for exam and consultation fees, inherited and congenital issues, wellness care, dental care for dogs and cats , spaying/neutering, and memorial care.

    • Wide range of deductibles
    • One simple plan keeps things easy to understand
    • 5% multi-pet discount

    • Physical claims with reimbursements only available in cheques.

PetPartners Pet Insurance Reimbursement and Deductibles

There are three reimbursement amounts to choose from: $70%, 80%, and 90%, with 80% being the sweet spot for most pet owners.

There’s an impressive range of deductibles too, one of the largest selections we’ve seen from any pet insurer so far.

You can customize your plan with a deductible amount of $100, $125, $150, $175, $100, $225, $250, $500 and $1,000 to lower your monthly cost.

    PetPartners Pet Insurance Waiting Period

There’s a two-day waiting period for accidents and a 14-day waiting period for illnesses, which is pretty standard in comparison to other insurance providers.

American Kennel Club members can slash these prices in half though, with a 1-day waiting period for accidents and a five-day wait for illnesses.

To get your vet costs reimbursed, you’ll have to download a claims form from the website and post it with proof of your costs.

Claims are unfortunately only reimbursed in check form but there’s a 14-day turnaround time.

How Much Does PetPartners Pet Insurance Cost?

With so many deductible amounts to choose from, your monthly cost could vary dramatically depending on how you’ve customized your plan.

You could be paying anywhere from $8–50 a month for a four-year-old dog and half that for a cat breed of the same age.

    Customer Service and Satisfaction

You can email the team and expect a reply back within one working day.

Alternatively, you can call the team directly between the hours of 8 AM and 8.30 PM Monday–Friday (EST) and 10 AM–3 PM on Saturdays.

PetPartners has a lot of information in its FAQ section though, so it might be worth checking that out first.

Our Rating – How Pawsome is PetPartners Pet Insurance?

With so many customization options available, PetPartners is a great choice for anyone looking to save money on their pet insurance.

Unfortunately, the absence of an online claims portal means its lacking in comparison to other insurance providers, such as PetPremium and Healthy Paws, that can offer one-day and two-day turnarounds on claims thanks to their online system.

If that’s not fast enough for you, PetAssure can pay your vet directly on the same day, all you have to do is present your insurance card at participating vets for instant reimbursement.
